Job Title: Charitable Foundation Intern

Job Description:                      

Corporate Communications:

  • Draft press releases and articles

  • Develop newsletter content 

  • Create participant and program profiles

  • Create and publish social media content (blog posts, tweets, podcasts)

  • Refresh content on website and intranet

  • Maintain press and partner contact list

  • Copy, edit, proofread, and revise internal and external foundation communications

Partnerships/Employee Engagement:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of employee volunteer activities

  • Cultivate partnerships with NYC-based organizations for volunteer projects and board service placements

  • Create volunteer engagement support resources for Blackstone employees

  • Build a formal feedback loop to continuously monitor, evaluate and improve the strategic volunteer engagement initiatives using data and qualitative feedback from individual participants

Program Management:

  • Conduct necessary research re: future program expansion

  • Act as a liaison for the Blackstone LaunchPad Fellows Program

  • Update Salesforce database with grantee and program partner information

Qualifications: 

  • Working towards a degree in a related field (Journalism, Marketing/Communications, or Public Relations)

  • Previous Internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus

  • Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with press and community contacts

  • Self-motivated, strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines

Requirements: To be considered for the “2017 Summer Analyst - Charitable Foundation” Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate* student.  

  • Anticipated graduation date: Fall 2017 – Spring 2018.

  • Resume must include expected graduation month/year and GPA.
